If I was giving a guided tour of Detroit here are some of the hot spots I would use to show off Detroit.
1. Belle Isle
The Park is laid out with beautiful parkland, hiking trails, sports facilities and other attractions, including an Aquarium (freshwater fishes), a Safari Zoo, a Botanical Museum and the Dossin Great Lakes Museum. Belle Isle has an incredible range of things to see and do it would definitely be my first stop.
2. Charles H. Wright Museum of African-American History
The museum would be my next stop. Visitors will be taken away by the museums architectural design of the building itself; with it big African head piece in the center of the building. For any one the African American experience that the museum offers is priceless.
3. GM Renaissance Center
Most of America recognizes this facility because of films that were shot in Detroit. I would have the visitors take in a movie at theater and eat lunch in one of the many fine restaurants that located in the building. Show off the Indy Car that GM displays in the building.
4. Motown Historical Museum
What would a tour of Detroit be without visits the birth place of the Motown Sound; where Barry Gordy put Detroit on the map. Memory lane starts here for many people by listening to Marvin Gaye, Temptation and Smokey Robinson just to name a few.
5. Comerica Park
Now after going down memory lane, we would catch a Tigers game; who are now in the lead of their American League Central Division. This park has everything to offer the most demanding fan, from it many stores to the fine dinning.
